Comprehensive University Ningbo University
is a comprehensive university covering a wide range of disciplines. It focuses
on both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Levels. At present, the University consists
of 19 colleges and faculties, offering 65 bachelor's programs and 56 master's
programs. Besides, there are thirty scientific research centers that undertake
hundreds of research projects each year in such fields as Chinese Culture, International
Economics, Materials Science and Mechanics, Law, Technology, etc. Goals
and Objectives Following in the tradition first developed by the
East Zhejiang scholars whose motto is "seeking truth from facts and applying knowledge
to the service of the nation." Ningbo University places its emphasis on providing
the highest quality of education. Its goal is simple - to prepare its students
for the challenges of the 21st century by providing an exceptional education as
well as broadening their moral, cultural and humanistic awareness.
The Campus Ningbo University has more than 22,000 full-time students,
and over 9,700 adult education students. Total staff exceeds 2,480, including
1,300 professional faculty. The Campus spans an area of 350 hectares with 700,000
square meters of building space. The University library holds a collection of
some 1,400,000 books and periodicals. Recreation

courts and gyms. There are coffee bars, bookstores, arts & crafts shops and Local

Through the Chinese Government Scholarship Program, Ningbo University has officially
been granted the ability to recruit international students. International
College of Ningbo University The International College of Ningbo
University commenced in the fall of 1996. Since then, it has developed a number
of joint-educational programs with other institutions around the globe. Thousands
