Chinese Language & Cultural Courses

Elementary Chinese courses are This class is designed to teach the basics of the Chinese language (listening, speaking, reading and writing) and help students pass the HSK. Main courses: Basic Chinese, Chinese Reading Comprehension, Chinese Listening Comprehension, Basic Chinese Grammar, Chinese Conversation, Selected Readings in Newspapers and Periodicals, Chinese Handwriting Practice, Basic Chinese Writing, etc. Optional courses are also offered on Chinese culture (such as History, Geography, Chinese Calligraphy, Literature, Arts, Religion, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese Martial Arts and Chinese Cuisine) and Chinese Economics (such as Economic Reform, Economic Policy and Investment Environment, etc.) According to the students' levels, classes are divided in three levels---Basic, Intermediate and Advanced, each of which has 20 periods per week. In addition, there are extracurricular activities such as field trips, excursions, seminars, and some social activities with Chinese students.
